Functions
1. To formulate and coordinate water supply activities in each state by emphasising on the importance of national projects and policies to ensure water supply development is consistent with federal government policies through the effective use of water resources and finance
2. To study, plan using the integrated approach and subsequently implement development of water resources including inter-state/basin water resources
3. To devise, implement and oversee projects financed by federal government allocation/loans
4. To apply for monitor and coordinate sources of finance for projects financed by federal government loans
